RECORDING STUDIO AND THEATER PARTNER TO OFFER STATE-OF-THE-ART RECORDING CAPABILITIES

The Deko Entertainment Group and the State Theatre in New Brunswick have partnered to offer comprehensive recording and distribution capabilities to performing artists and ensembles.

“When recording in a studio the artist is at a severe disadvantage. The audience, often the primary source of energy and excitement, is missing," says Alan Douches, chief Mastering engineer for West West Side Music Mastering Studios and Co-founder of the Deko Entertainment Group. "The approach here is restore the magic of a live performance into a recording by providing the venue, the recording studio, and video production all at the same time."

This new service involves wiring the State Theatre and retrofitting a recording studio into the facility to offer video and music recording utilizing state-of-the-art DVD technology, audio for video post-production, live Webcasting, and live television production. Recording at the State Theatre is not new. The State Theatre has been host a George Carlin HBO special, a Pat Metheny VH1 video, and has been a favored recording stop for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. "What is new is taking advantage of today's technology and passing that along to our performing artists. Having an all-in-one option available at almost a touch of a button is very appealing and is sure to attract new artists and audiences to our venue," states Christopher Butler, State Theatre Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer.

"For artists and their management this joint venture will offer many of the traditional services provided by record companies. However, they will now have more control over the product, and ultimately enjoy more of the profits,” says Eric Rachael, Chief Engineer for Trax East Recording Studios and Co-founder of the Deko Entertainment Group.
