Art Gusmano and West West Side Music go way back. 10 years back. As with most, he wound up having a record mastered by Alan. After the session, the two hit it off and started wondering why ECD's never got really popular. Alan mentions that "the graphics are hard to get right for multiple platforms". Art mentions "the difficultly of cross-platform programming". But Art wants his band's video to be on their CD... Two weeks and two cases of beer later, Alan and Art get it all figured out and start offering ECD production at bargain prices. Astralwerks and Caroline Records soon step aboard as . More labels get hip to the concept as West West Side Music makes it easy and affordable. "ECD's that are playable from any Mac or PC and require no installation or invasive action". It was just a short matter of time before they started authoring DVD's together...These days we keep Art around for our finer ECD and DVD projects. With Multimedia invading many aspects of the music world, Art helps us define a look that stays competitive.
