WEST WEST SIDE MUSIC

MORE WWSM PEOPLE

Rose Tamberino
Scheduling / Office

Rose has managed to keep the WWSM office running for the last 7 years and helps coordinate the day to day operations.

Rose, like many people in the music business, started out in a band. Too many years of smokey bars and bad monitor mixes made her shift her vocal talents to Voice-Over work. Training, practice and a strong set of pipes made her perfect for flying in the planes and helicopters over NYC doing traffic and news for all too many New York area radio stations including WFAN, WPLJ and WNEW. These years of off-the-cuff on-air experience prepared her for co-hosting a radio show on Long Island and eventually Weather and News for WOR in NYC. There, she became one of New York City's only female staff announcers, where she worked for 12 years, as well as becoming on-air talent for the Rambling with Gambling morning talk show.

So... how DID she wind up at West West Side Music? Well, there WAS this demo. From there it’s been a wonderful relationship.

John Delorme - Staff Engneer
John's affable personality and ability to multi-task mean that when you call West West Side Music he's probably who you'll be talking to. As well as being an active engineer, he usually knows the status of every active project in the facility. From sailing the seven seas (no joke, he was in the Navy) to making music, John has been fortunate enough to live, work, and play music all over the U.S., from Hawaii to New York. He's played guitar, written, and recorded music with a slue of characters throughout his journeys for the past 15 years.

His professional recording career began in earnest with an education from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. From there he headed to the Big Apple where he was hired by competing recording school SAE (the School of Audio Engineering). He learned the ropes of analog recording and mixing on the 8088 Neve console at Water Music Recorders, assisting on sessions with Esperanza Spalding, Betty LaVette, and Graham Wright (of the Tokyio Police Club). He also worked doing digital production at The Studios at SST (aka iiwii), assisting on sessions with artists such as Lady Gaga, the Jonas Brothers, and Spoon.

Since making the move to WWSM, he has mixed artists from all over the world. Some highlights include Cage The Elephant, Bitch Magnet, and Franz Nicolay. He has also had the pleasure of recording live performances for The Misfits, Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front, The Gorilla Biscuits, and Franz Nicolay at venues including BB King's Blues Club, the Falcon and Webster Hall.

In addition to his love for recording and stereo mixing combining warm analog gear and tight digital production, he's also comfortable mixing and mastering in our 5.1 room.

John also helps with answering emails and the scheduling of all our engineers, so feel free to contact him about your current or future project at WWSM.

Zaray Ramos Dratch - Office - Zaray initially came to WWSM as an intern to learn more about audio for film. She has been extremely helpful with a few of our latin speaking clients and when she's not "on location" doing gaffer and grip work on small indie films, she helps out around the office and studios. Feel free to ask to speak to her if your english is a little rusty...
