Sean Hansen - Engineer

Sean Hansen knows what sounds good. As an artist and a sideman he learned what goes into making great music and great recordings. As an engineer he learned how to preserve and reinforce the energy and impact of a performance in a recording.

Sean has been surrounded by vintage and contemporary recording gear for most of his life. Either behind the instruments as a songwriter/musician or on the other side of the glass as a producer/engineer. His experience in the industry has been very diverse in no small part because of a genuine passion for great recording-craft.

He has worked with acclaimed producers Nick Launay (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Midnight Oil), John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr.), and J. Robbins (Clutch, The Dismemberment Plan, Channels).

Sean has produced and engineered in numerous studios, including:
Water Music (Hoboken, NJ), Bearsville Studios (Bearsville, NY), Nada Recording Studio (New Windsor, NY), and Sweet Spot Studio (Washingtonville, NY).
