Eric Horowitz - Engineer
"If it needs to breathe, give it some air.
If it's a bit rigid, let's warm it up.
If it needs to be loud as @#!* while still packing a dynamic punch, then let's take it there. Nice to meet you. Let's make a record."
Eric has been putting in some serious work at West West Side. Considering the fact that he operates under the immense wing of one of the most skilled mastering engineers of the indie world, it's no wonder that Eric's expertise has grown into the multitude of abilities it currently is. (and it's still growing)
He can be found doing 5.1 surround mixing, sound restoration / noise reduction, live recording, and even DVD authoring, all while holding it down as Alan's trusty assistant. And though he has been helping to expand the West West Side entity toward the far reaches of modern audio and media production, the roots are never left neglected, so if you need that old 2" (or whatever - WWSM is equipped with a diverse array of tape machines) baked & transferred, you know who to talk to.
Eric has a taste for the finer things in life. He knows that that shaker should be placed in the mix just loud enough to drive the music to that next level, but quiet enough for you to barely know you're hearing it. He understands that the best music should make the listener forget that there are speakers in the room, and that a song is only mediocre until you can feel it.
...those vibrations are special.
